1. Exercise Illuminates your Skin

Instant toning lotion, revitalizing cream, nourishing goodness, ever glow, silky feel, radiance tone, renew, regenerate, revive, original healing, super toner products and so on… and so forth.
Pause, and read this, before you invest in another beauty lotion or scrub:
Exercise for an instant, great, healthy, glowing skin. Simply, put on your sneakers and experience an early morning jog, with arms occasionally spread apart as if to grab the cool breeze.
Blood flow provides nutrition to the skin. In other words, the skin thrives by increased blood and lymphatic circulation. Now you know that cardio routines does more than burn unwanted fat, it increases your heart rate, flushes toxins and boosts circulation of fully oxygenated blood, which in turns revitalizes your skin and renews your cells, and leaves a glowing vibrant skin. Exercise is a good treat to your skin, it helps your skin ‘breathe’.acne
Exercise is helpful in clearing adult acne because it makes you sweat out impurities and unclog pores.sweatLil’ wonder then that ‘Steam rooms and Saunas’ have always been part of skin treatment in spas. Only be sure to wipe off the sweat and take a shower as quickly as you are able to. And most times, once you are at peace with your emotions, acne flees.

2. Revamp your libido

In many instances, decrease in libido may be due to physical or emotional stress, feelings of fatigue and clumsiness, low self-esteem which may be due to weight gain and deposition of fats in the ‘wrong places, and poor body image.
If the above statements are true, then this one below is also true:
Regular but moderate aerobic exercise causes the release of endorphins (‘feel-good hormones’) which reduces stress and increases sexual arousal in women. Exercise increases blood flow to the genitals and lights up your marriage intimacy in ways better experienced than described.
Exercise improves mood and body image, increases energy levels, restores self-confidence, helps burn excess calories and thus, enhance your libido.

3. Look and Feel Younger

Exercise has been shown to slow the ageing process. ‘Exercise prevents the dermis from thinning and the stratum corneum from thickening, making skin look decades younger at a microscopic level’ says, Dr. Mark Tarnopolsky (McMaster University, Ontario, Canada). Exercise helps fibroblasts to work more efficiently, firms up and tightens skin, reduces sagging and wrinkles through increases in collagen production.
One of the stress hormones (cortisol) in the body interferes with the production of collagen, the protein that helps keep your skin supple and elastic. Conversely, cardio exercises boosts the production of collagen, aiding the skin to revitalize and renew itself, delaying the onset of wrinkles and other visible signs of ageing. Also exercise helps to build muscles which are resistant to shrinkage.
However, intense and very vigorous workouts may do the opposite.

4. Better Sleep

The National Sleep Foundation poll investigating the effects of exercise on sleep, reports that exercise improves the quality and duration of sleep. It has been shown that when one is fast and deep asleep, several processes go on, including release of  growth hormone that functions in the renewal and repair of body tissues, ‘playing a big part in maintaining collagen matrix and promoting that glow of youthfulness that comes from a great night’s sleep’. sleeping after exerciseExercise fixes circadian rhythms (internal body clock), promoting daytime alertness and sleepiness at night. Those with struggling with sleep disorders such as insomnia and obstructive sleep apnea have found exercise very useful. Also, exercise causes a drop in cortisol levels.
Exercise should be part of your weekly if not daily routine, just like you empty your trash bin, mop your floor, wash your clothes…yes it should be that regular!

5. Healthy Hair

Regular and moderate workout improves blood flow to the scalp, nourishes hair roots (follicles), keeping your hair stronger and healthier. Following a good exercise, the rush of oxygen-rich blood through your vessels delivers antioxidants to the scalp, these anti-oxidants are scavengers, looking for free radicals to mop up and dispose of, before they damage your hair. Because stress makes hair unhealthy, brittle and dry-looking, exercise with good hair moisturizing reduces hair loss and improves hair quality.

6. Improves your Posture

Working out is very key to muscle strength. When your muscles are firm especially those that help support your frame (abdominal [rectus abdominus], lower back muscles [erector spinae], buttocks [gluteal], thigh [hamstrings] and chest [pectoralis] muscles). As these muscles become stronger it helps improve posture. Exercise corrects body’s alignment by facilitating flexibility and building muscle. Remember, your posture is a strong pointer to your type of personality. If you already have a bad posture, it will help to consult a physiotherapist for recommendations on the right exercise to correct and re-align your structure.

7. Great relieve from anxiety, stress and depression

During a workout, your brain releases potent relaxing chemicals like serotonin and dopamine which help relieve stress and anxiety. Exercise causes surge of endorphins, which make you feel good and achieved…. And as you continue your workout, and start seeing visible improvements in your body, your happiness and self-esteem will simply soar on higher. That’s what beauty is all about…
However, if you have anxiety attacks or clinical depression, consult a health professional for personalized advice and recommendations.

 8. Get Rid of Visceral Fat

It is visceral fat that disfigures, it is the fat that makes your waist line less defined, it is the fat that gives you an apple body shape, makes clothes not to fit nicely and most importantly, it is the dangerous fats that increases ones risk of heart diseases, diabetes.
This fat affects body image and appearance significantly. It is the fat around the abdomen (intra-abdominal adipose tissue accumulation).loosing visceral fat
Exercise in tandem with proper diet helps to eliminate visceral fat. Generally, low-fat, low-carb, high-protein and high-fiber diet are encouraged. Aerobics (jogging, running, swimming, brisk walking), planks, abdominal cycling, crunches, push-ups, dumbbell rows works wonders.
Breaking News: You don’t have to be in the gym to have a good workout. Planning to use your annual leave or the children’s holiday period to enroll in a gym is tricky, as you may never get the time to slot gym into your daily life, it is easier to incorporate no-equipment home routines such as jumping jacks, skipping rope, belly dancing, jog-in-place,  push-ups and abdominal crunches.
